The mountainous topography of Toba Inlet, as well as the towering, rainforest shrouded mountains that rise out of the channels leading to Toba, provide an awesome and humbling effect from the seat of a sea kayak.
Into the Majestic Mountains is a one-way trip by sea kayak, with return by motor-vessel. Launching from our site on Okeover Inlet you will first experience the waters of Desolation Sound Marine Park - its meandering waterways, small islands and warmer waters teeming with rich and colourful marine life. Upon entering Desolation Sound, you will receive your first open view towards the majestic mountains, drawing you in to their remote grandeur. Each consecutive day will bring you deeper in to this mountainous region, where cozy campsites nestled into the lush rainforest and wonderful food will cap-off a magnificent and quintessential British Columbia sea kayaking experience.
