We have been running guided sea kayak tours in Desolation Sound since 1995! Our guides are experienced and extremely knowledgable about Desolation Sound and the history, wildlife and culture of the British Columbia Coast, and the guided kayak tour package provides a more complete and immersive experience for our guests.

Each day’s sea kayaking explores unique and varied locations within Desolation Sound. Our professional guides will ensure a safe and stress-free experience, allowing you to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Creative Cuisine

All meals are included on our guided kayak packages, crafted from fresh, local ingredients and served at the social hub of the resort – the Cabana Cafe.

Soft drinks, juice, coffee & tea are included, while alcohol is available for purchase (and guests are free to bring their own).

Each morning, lunch is packed in the kayaks by our guides to be enjoyed on a remote pocket beach or island in the heart of Desolation Sound.

Comfortable Accommodations

The cabanas are handcrafted using locally milled western red cedar and Douglas fir, with large screened windows looking out to the ocean, perfect for guests to sit in bed in the morning with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and watch the sun rise over the mountains.

Despite being off-grid, each cabana has a private, on-demand hot water shower, and cedar boardwalks link each cabana with the flush bathrooms and Cabana Cafe.
